Wind Speed: 27 knots (50 km/h)
Pressure: 994 hPa → weakening slightly to 999 hPa by Saturday morning
Direction: Drifting northeast toward western Maharashtra

Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall likely over Konkan Maharashtra, Goa, and coastal Karnataka

Winds gusting 60–70 km/h may disrupt power supply, damage infrastructure, and cause sea conditions dangerous to small vessels

Cities at risk: Mumbai, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Mangaluru

This system follows the devastating Bengaluru floods on May 21, where three lives were lost and over 500 homes damaged. Saturated ground in southern Karnataka increases the risk of additional urban flooding as the depression moves inland.
