Southern Spain remains the standout heat zone, while Italy is dealing with a separate storm-risk pattern across the center and south. Germany is quieter under high pressure but still starts Friday with fog and isolated frost risk, and Ukraine turns mostly dry with a fire-danger signal in Odesa region.
Europe weather this weekend — September 25–27
Spain: Seville reaches about 37.6°C Friday and 38.0°C Saturday. AEMET has a yellow high-temperature warning for Campiña sevillana, with 38°C Friday and 39°C Saturday in the warning text.
France: Paris stays dry and warm at about 27.8°C Friday, 24.8°C Saturday and 26.7°C Sunday. Météo-France fire-weather information keeps parts of southern France at elevated risk.
Italy: official yellow alerts are active Friday in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia and Sicily for thunderstorms and/or hydrogeological/hydraulic risk.
Germany: DWD reports patchy fog with visibility locally below 150 m and isolated light frost down to about -1°C in southern and central areas early Friday; high pressure brings a warmer weekend.
United Kingdom: the Met Office has no weather warnings for September 25–27. London reaches around 24°C Friday before a cooler Saturday and a milder Sunday.
Poland/Baltic: Warsaw is cool at first, while a marine strong-wind warning remains active in the southeastern Baltic. Riga is the wettest city in this update, with about 16 mm Friday.

Europe’s weekend pattern: heat in Iberia, storms in southern Italy, high pressure farther north
Southern Iberia remains locked under very warm, dry air, while a disturbance over the central Mediterranean is responsible for thunderstorms and hydrological warnings across parts of southern and central Italy.
Farther north, high pressure is becoming more influential from Germany into Central Europe. That means the weekend trend is toward calmer weather and gradually rising daytime temperatures, although Friday begins locally foggy and cold.
The Baltic region remains cooler and more unsettled, especially around Riga, while Ukraine is turning drier after the active frontal weather earlier in the week.

Spain: yellow heat warning around Seville
AEMET has a yellow high-temperature warning for Campiña sevillana from 13:00 to 19:00 CEST Friday, with a warning maximum of 38°C. The warning repeats Saturday, when the threshold rises to 39°C.
Fresh Open-Meteo guidance for Seville gives 37.6°C Friday, 38.0°C Saturday and a marked drop to 32.1°C Sunday. The model therefore strongly supports the heat warning while showing the hottest phase ending by Sunday.

Italy: yellow alerts across seven regions
Italy’s Civil Protection bulletin for Friday September 25 lists yellow-level alert conditions across Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia and Sicily.
The hazards vary by region and include thunderstorms, hydrogeological risk and hydraulic risk. Calabria carries widespread yellow hydraulic and hydrogeological alerts, while thunderstorm alerts affect several central and southern regions.
Rome itself is much quieter in the point forecast: around 28.1°C Friday with only about 0.3 mm of rain, then dry near 27°C over the weekend. This is a reminder that a regional official warning does not mean every city inside the country receives severe weather.
France: hot and dry, with elevated forest-fire danger
France stays unusually warm and dry for late September. Météo-France says temperatures remain above seasonal averages through the end of the month, often above 30°C in the south, and the dry pattern is worsening forest-fire danger.
On Friday, Aveyron remains under orange forest-fire danger, with elevated fire-weather conditions also affecting several southern departments including Gard, Aude, Hérault, Ardèche and Vaucluse.
Paris itself stays dry throughout the weekend: around 27.8°C Friday, 24.8°C Saturday and 26.7°C Sunday.
Germany: fog and isolated frost, then a warmer weekend
DWD’s national warning situation is much quieter than earlier in the week. Friday morning brings patchy fog, locally reducing visibility below 150 metres.
In southern and central Germany, isolated light frost down to around -1°C cannot be ruled out early Friday.
DWD says high pressure will dominate through the weekend, with rising temperatures. Open-Meteo supports that trend in Berlin: 15.6°C Friday, 20.6°C Saturday and 21.4°C Sunday.
United Kingdom: no official warnings this weekend
The Met Office currently lists no weather warnings for Friday September 25, Saturday September 26 or Sunday September 27.
London reaches around 23.7°C Friday, falls to 19.9°C Saturday, then recovers to 22.1°C Sunday. Around 1.5 mm of rain is possible Sunday, with gusts near 42 km/h.
Poland and the Baltic: marine wind warning, wet Riga
Poland’s Baltic marine forecast carries a strong-wind warning for the southeastern Baltic. This is a maritime warning and should not be presented as a nationwide land alert.
Warsaw remains much calmer on land, with around 15.2°C Friday, 16.8°C Saturday and 19.7°C Sunday.
Riga is the standout wet city in this update: around 15.9 mm Friday, followed by only around 1 mm per day over the weekend. Gusts reach about 43 km/h Friday.
Ukraine: mostly dry, but extreme fire danger in Odesa region
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center expects September 25–27 to be mostly dry, except for local showers in the northwest Friday and in the east/southeast Sunday.

Kyiv stays dry in the refreshed Open-Meteo forecast: around 16.1°C Friday, 19.0°C Saturday and 18.7°C Sunday.

France and the UK: warm west, but not the same heat intensity
Warsaw follows a similar but weaker trend: 15.2°C Friday, 16.8°C Saturday and 19.7°C Sunday. Around 1.8 mm falls Friday, then the weekend becomes essentially dry.
Budapest has one of the clearest warm rebounds: 20.3°C Friday, 22.6°C Saturday and 23.4°C Sunday, with no meaningful rain.
Zagreb
Zagreb remains dry and gradually milder: 18.5°C Friday, 20.3°C Saturday and 21.0°C Sunday.
Italy: official storm alerts south, calmer weather in the major northern cities
Milan remains dry, around 23°C Friday and Saturday and close to 25°C Sunday.
Trieste stays dry in the city forecast as well, but Friday is windy, with gusts around 56 km/h. Temperatures rise from 22.2°C Friday to 24.4°C Sunday.
Rome remains warm, near 27–28°C, with only around 0.3 mm Friday and dry weather afterward.
Important: the official Italian yellow alerts are concentrated mainly in central and southern risk zones. Dry point forecasts for Milan, Trieste or Rome do not cancel warnings elsewhere in the country.
Southeast Europe: dry in Bucharest, windier around Athens on Sunday
Athens cools gradually from 24.3°C Friday to 21.4°C Sunday. Rainfall stays light, but Sunday becomes notably windier, with gusts around 61 km/h in the current point forecast.
Scandinavia and the Baltics: Riga wet Friday, Stockholm turns milder
Stockholm
Stockholm rises from 13.7°C Friday to 15.7°C Saturday and 17.3°C Sunday. Saturday is the windiest day, with gusts around 50 km/h.
Riga
Riga receives around 15.9 mm Friday, then only about 1 mm on both Saturday and Sunday. Highs rise from 13.4°C to 16.1°C across the three days.

What changes after Sunday?
The weekend pattern points toward further warmth in parts of Central Europe, while Atlantic weather remains close to the UK and western Europe.
Spain’s most intense heat weakens after Saturday, while Germany, Poland, Austria and Hungary continue to recover from the cooler air mass that dominated earlier in the week.
The main uncertainty for the following week is how quickly the next Atlantic disturbance pushes east against the strengthening continental high.
