Welcome to the United Kingdom seven-day weather forecast, which takes us up to the New Year’s weekend.

Starting from Boxing day, an Atlantic frontal system will push northeastwards, taking some rather heavy rain and strong winds across the United Kingdom. According to BBC weather, next week there will definitely be showers and some longer spells of rain. And even thundery downpours are possible. However, temperatures will slightly drop. So what are the chances to see snow on New Year’s weekend? Let’s find out. Here is the seven-day forecast: from Monday, the twenty-sixth of December, to Sunday, the first of January.

Let’s start with the northern cities of Scotland. The end of twenty-twenty-two is promising to bring some heavy showers to Aberdeen. The rain will stop here only by Sunday. Temperatures above freezing even at night.

Edinburgh. Cloudy, rainy weather with variable winds will turn sunny on Sunday as well. Stable above-zero temperatures without overnight frosts.

People of Glasgow will definitely see some heavy showers during the upcoming week. Daily temperatures around 10 Celsius on Friday, dropping back to 5 Celsius over the New Year’s weekend.

Another rainy week in Newcastle. Better take an umbrella if you’re heading outside. The sun will finally appear on the first day of twenty-twenty-three.

Belfast will suffer from soaking rain. It could get very windy on Thursday. However, the end of the week is promising some sunny spells.

We are moving to Hull. A cloudy start with heavy showers, but dry throughout the week with some sunshine. Monday is the coldest day with a temperature of 6 Celsius.

How long will the rain last in Liverpool? Well, at least six starting days. When going out, do not forget to take an umbrella.

Cloudy, rainy weather taking control in Manchester. Highest day: 11 Celsius, lowest day: 5 Celsius. Without overnight frosts.

Most days the weather will be rainy in Norwich. Temperatures between 7 Celsius to 12 Celsius, during the whole seven-day period.

Heavy showers will affect Birmingham during the upcoming week. Friday – the warmest day with a pretty high temperature of 12 Celsius.

No chances to see the sun in Oxford. However, the temperature could easily rise above 10 degrees. It looks more like autumn.

London. Temperatures are gonna be mostly in double digits, despite rainy weather. So if you got plans for the New Year’s weekend – keep up to date with the forecasters.

After Boxing day, temperatures are gonna be rising in Cardiff. On Friday, the temperature will surprisingly rise above eleven Celsius. Rainy spells throughout the week.

Showers will get to the southern part of the United Kingdom as well. Temperature will jump into the low double digits in Plymouth. Although, will change to the mid-single figures over the weekend.

Despite some heavy showers, we still have temperatures above average in Southampton: around eight to thirteen degrees.
