Hello and welcome to the United Kingdom Weather forecast for the week ahead. Starting from Monday, high pressure ridges up and influences a mostly settled week. According to BBC weather, the increase of high pressure should mean drier conditions overall, but there will still be a chance of a few showers, some of them - wintry, especially over northern Scotland. So, we are expecting largely dry weather this week. However, mist and fog could become a problem on some days. Temperatures should stay above average. For example, the low double digits will not be a surprise in the south. Now, let's take a closer look at the weather for the week ahead in different parts of the United Kingdom. Here is the seven-day forecast: from Monday, the 23 January, to Sunday, 29 January.
Starting from the Scotland weather.
Temperature will suddenly rise above ten degrees in Aberdeen. No rain, but mostly cloudy weather this week.
Similar conditions are expected in Edinburgh. With higher-than-average temperatures. Dry for many days, except Sunday.
Another rainy week in Glasgow. Daily temperatures between seven to ten Celsius. Overnight frost will bring a risk of icy surfaces on Thursday.
We are moving to Newcastle. Cloudy weather turning into rainy on Wednesday. Daily temperatures smoothly dropping from ten degrees to seven degrees.
Mild weather is staying in Belfast at least for one more week. It will remain mostly cloudy, though there may be some clear skies. Light showers on Wednesday.
People of Hull will also see rain on Wednesday. As a result, the temperature is expected to drop from eleven Celsius to seven Celsius.
Temperatures ranging from highs of seven Celsius to ten Celsius in Liverpool, without overnight frost. Be prepared for the rainy weekend.
The seven-day weather forecast is promising overcast and showers in Manchester. Better take an umbrella if you are heading outside.

It will remain mostly cloudy this week in London, though there may be some clear skies. Temperature will suddenly jump into the low double digits over the weekend.
What about the Wales weather? Higher-than-average temperatures are expected in Cardiff. A gentle breeze from the west pushing showers on Wednesday.
Overnight frosts will get to the south as well. Minus 4 Celsius in Southampton at the start of the week. However, it will get warmer. No rain, but mostly cloudy weather during the whole week.
Dry and bright weather in Plymouth, with a lot of sunshine. Brighter skies compared to recently, but still some cloudier periods over the weekend. Daily temperatures should stay between eight to ten Celsius.
