Branson, Missouri - May 13, 2024 - A brief scare struck Payne's Valley golf course, designed by legendary golfer Tiger Woods, on Monday afternoon. A tornado was spotted touching down near the course, according to local media reports.
Thankfully, the National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed the tornado caused no reported damage. While a Tornado Warning wasn't issued, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was in effect for areas surrounding Branson and Hollister just before the event.
The storm cell maintained its intensity as it moved through Taney County towards Ozark County, but no further damage reports have been received.
