Waterspout Outbreak Hits Northern Italy and Sardinia

A significant outbreak occurred off the coasts of northern and Sardinia in 2024. This unusual event led to the formation of multiple waterspouts in a short period.

One particularly notable incident involved a large yacht that sank on 19th, potentially due to the impact of one of these waterspouts.

The International Centre for Research (ICWR) has confirmed at least 18 waterspouts in the region on 19th alone.

This event highlights the dynamic and sometimes unpredictable nature of patterns, even in areas not typically associated with severe storms.
