Catastrophic weather in Australia: hail, storms and thousands without power - what's next?

In Kovra, a man in his 80s died when a tree fell on his car. In addition, four people were injured in the Riverina region due to the destruction of temporary shelters.

In particular, strong winds are forecast in Sydney with a maximum temperature of about 22°C and a minimum of 19°C. In Newcastle, showers are expected with a maximum temperature of 24°C and a minimum of 19°C. In Wollongong, short-term rains are possible with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 23°C.

According to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, there is an increased likelihood of further thunderstorms, strong winds and rainfall in the region. Local residents are advised to be cautious, avoid traveling during bad weather and follow weather forecast updates.
